Chemicals

It seems to me that we live in a chemically bogged down world. If you think about all the chemicals we expose ourselves and more importantly our children to on a day to day basis it can get overwhelming. Think about the car fumes, household cleaners, air freshners and yes even our soaps, shampoos, lotions and so on. How in the world can we protect our families from all of these harsh elements? Its no wonder we have so many allergies, learning disabilities, headaches and trouble focusing. It seems to me that living a more simple life looks more and more alluring all the time. We try to eat organic when possible and use "less" chemicals when cleaning the house. But one thing I am struggeling with is the use of Parabens in our shampoos and lotions. I feel like this contributes highly to cancer and because several family members have had cancer as of late this weighs heavily on my heart. If anyone of you can recommend shampoos, soaps and lotions that do not have any harsh chemicals or Parabens in them it would be a great relief to my mind.

In the begining

Life for me consists of being greeted by at least one sometimes two of my darling children at 6:00 a.m. After giving out the desired amounts of squeezes and kisses we head down to the living room to watch a show or two on TV while Mommy takes in an extra snooze while nursing the newest baby. Then it's off to feed, dress and clean up the kids and prepare them for todays school lessons. Not glamorous by any means considering most days makeup does not even touch my face and I usually find myself in an old pair of worn out jeans and a Tee. However being a stay at home Mom who also finds herself as Teacher to her three little blessings finds life quite rewarding. Just to see their smiles as one of the children makes a wonderful discovery in school or just being there to wipe away the tears makes all the differance. I love the everyday adventures and discoveries we make. Some of our favorites are nature walks, baking bread and visiting our local museums! Living My Everyday Life with God and my children is more than fullfilling it is heavenly!
